The DANA was one of the most tragic and terrible events in Spain in recent years, and although some time has passed, many people still remember and continue to protest about how the maximum head of the community managed that situation horribly, referring to the former president of the Valencian Generalitat, Carlos Mazón.
For this reason, Social movements have called a new concentration with the slogan 'Mazón a presó', demanding prison for the management of the former president of the Generalitat in the DANA, Carlos Mazón. This call will take place next August 29 at 7:00 p.m., in the Plaza de la Virgen in València.
This is not the first protest organized, as the previous protest with the same objective took place on Wednesday, July 29, and was accompanied by a symbolic vigil in the Plaza Manises in València. The victims of the DANA and representatives of some 200 entities paid tribute to the 231 people who lost their lives in the tragic ravine that hit Valencia on October 29, 2024, with a symbolic vigil.
"There is no way to reconstruct what they stole from us," lamented the relatives, who also remembered and had words for those affected by the fires that are devastating a large part of the province of Castellón and also for those affected by the various fires that are worrying in other parts of Spain. And finally, the relatives did not want to finish without criticizing something important for them, which is "climate denialism."
