This Monday, 'ElConstitucional.es', a new outlet fighting disinformation and in favor of democracy and social rights, exclusively published all the details of Javier Negre, director of EDATV's, absence from the Court of Instruction number 18 of Seville due to his involvement in the dissemination of accusations against Rubén Sánchez through his outlet. However, he has not appeared for the trial and has sent Javier García Isac as his legal representative
As we reported in this newspaper, the ultra-agitator Vito Quiles appeared before the judge in Seville on **February 25, 2025**, as a suspect, after having previously exercised his right to remain silent. During that appearance, Sánchez's defense stated that Quiles **neither explained nor clarified** the basis for his accusations, without identifying his sources and without providing evidence for the proceedings. The judge subsequently summoned Negre to explain whether **EDAtv has civil liability** for the dissemination of this content
During the trial, García Isac stated that Quiles never spoke of Rubén Sánchez as an EDAtv reporter. He also affirmed that people do not identify Quiles as a reporter for the channel, so, according to his version, there would be no reason to associate his statements with the media.
In the context of this publication, Javier García Isac accused 'ElConstitucional.es' via his personal X account of "disinforming" and "lying" with the news because, according to him, "Javier Negre was not summoned" but rather "the company" was. That is a lie. Javier Negre's partner has spread a hoax to discredit this newspaper by accusing it, precisely, of publishing a hoax.
As 'ElConstitucional.es' can demonstrate, the judge has explicitly summoned "Mr. Francisco Javier Negre" for "January 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM". He was supposed to appear before the judge either physically - at the Court of Instruction number 18 of Seville - or, if permitted, remotely, as he currently lives outside of Spain. This fact is evidenced by the judge's order, which 'ElConstitucional.es' has accessed and which is reproduced below.

These demonstrations occur despite the fact that one of the publications provided by Rubén Sánchez's defense as allegedly slanderous corresponds to a program from EDAtv presented by Vito Quiles alongside Bertrand Ndongo. Furthermore, García Isac has indicated that on the dates when the statements subject to the lawsuit occurred, Quiles already had an employment contract with EDAtv, and the judge has granted him a period of five days to submit it to the proceedings.
