The general secretary of FACUA, Rubén Sánchez, has recommended drivers compare prices before refueling due to possible fuel price increases. In a message published on the social network X, the organization's spokesperson recalled FACUA's gas station search engine and warned that international factors can influence the cost of gasoline and diesel.
Sánchez mentioned in his message the political decisions of former American president Donald Trump and their possible impact on the energy market, which could translate into an increase in fuel prices in different countries.
Today diesel is 7 cents more expensive (4.9%) than yesterday and 11 more than the day before yesterday (7.4%) in the Peninsula. It is at an average of €1.546 compared to the €1.490 at which it closed on Tuesday and the €1.456 on Monday.

Given this situation, FACUA encourages consumers to use its gas station comparator, a tool that allows checking the prices of gasoline and diesel in thousands of service stations in Spain and locating the most economical options.
The search engine allows filtering by province, municipality or type of fuel and uses data that the service stations themselves communicate to the Ministry for Ecological Transition. The organization reminds that comparing prices can mean savings for drivers, since the cost of fuel can vary between gas stations even within the same city.
