The president of Democracia21, Miriam González, has questioned the Popular Party's strategy for the general elections on November 29 during an interview with 'ElConstitucional.es'. The leader believes that the popular party is relying on the wear and tear of its adversaries and reproaches them for the lack of a future proposal capable of inspiring citizens.

González has described Isabel Díaz Ayuso as a "very polarizing person". Asked about the influence of the Madrid president on the PP's shift towards far-right positions, she placed the problem within a broader party strategy.

"I believe that the PP's shift goes beyond Isabel Díaz Ayuso," she replied. The president of Democracia21 linked this direction to the possibility of the popular party reaching a pact with Vox after the elections.

"Clearly, an agreement with a far-right option is being put on the table," said González, who accompanied this warning with a criticism of the political project with which the PP aspires to replace Pedro Sánchez.

Her statements come in a pre-campaign in which the relationship between Feijóo and Abascal occupies a central place. This very Tuesday, the president of the PP confirmed that he is holding negotiations with Vox to seek a majority in the Senate, after the agreement reached by the PSOE with parties from the Broad Front.

For González, the main problem for the popular party lies in the alternative they offer to the electorate. "It seems to me that the big problem of the PP, as I said before, is that it does not put on the table an inspiring country model," she pointed out during the interview.

The leader summarized her criticism with a warning about the limits of a strategy based on the government's wear and tear. "They are trying to win simply by the mistakes of the opponent," she stated. "That is not enough in the 21st century."
