The president of **Argentina**, Javier Milei, will participate next week in the XXX Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will be held in Madrid on November 4 and 5, just a few weeks after his previous visit to the Spanish capital, a stay that was marked by his harsh disqualifications against the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.

Milei's presence in the Spanish capital was confirmed by the Casa Rosada to the Argentine television channel TN, although for the moment the rest of the agenda planned for this trip is unknown. The trip will come after a political profile trip made on October 20, during which the Argentine president again attacked Sánchez and avoided meeting with him, in what was his seventh visit to Spain without a bilateral meeting with the head of the Executive.

A new return to Madrid after his attacks on Pedro Sánchez

In that public intervention in Madrid, Javier Milei called the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, an “unpresentable dictator”, “corrupt” and “thief”, and again placed his discourse in a tone of political confrontation, in a forum where he also showed his support for his allies in Spain, the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, and the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

During that event, Milei also called to “kick out the socialists”, a phrase that again raised political tension around his visit to Madrid and reinforced the interpretation of his trip as a new demonstration of support for his ideological partners in Spain.

Lula da Silva will not attend and Brazil will send Mauro Vieira

The multilateral summit will avoid, on this occasion, a face-to-face meeting between Javier Milei and the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. According to sources from the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs cited by the same media, the Brazilian head of state will not attend due to agenda problems and will delegate his representation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira.

With that decision, Brasilia will avoid a direct encounter at a time of diplomatic friction between Buenos Aires and Brasilia, after the recent deterioration of the bilateral relationship. The climate between both governments has also been affected by the escape through Argentina of Flávio Bolsonaro, who used the country as a stopover in his escape to the United States.

Argentina investigates Flávio Bolsonaro's stopover in national territory

The Argentine National Directorate of Migration confirmed that Flávio Bolsonaro and his family entered Argentine territory through the province of Misiones, via the Puerto Iguazú border crossing, late on Tuesday, and that shortly after they boarded a private flight bound for Ecuador, before their arrival on US soil.

While the Argentine Justice system investigates the operation after a complaint about alleged collaboration by officials, the Government of Javier Milei maintains that the right-wing leader entered and left the country regularly, as there was no Interpol alert or restriction against him.
