The President of the Government Pedro Sánchez, as he communicated in a post on his X social network, held "a magnificent conversation" this Tuesday with the new British Prime Minister, Andy Burnham. In addition, Sánchez emphasized the many "challenges", "values", and "objectives" that both countries share, and assured that they are "determined to work together" to "promote an agenda of progress", in Spain and the United Kingdom, "but also for Europe and the world."

Burnham, for his part, has celebrated the signing of the agreement on Gibraltar and has highlighted the importance of: "Taking advantage of this momentum to deepen cooperation" between the United Kingdom and Spain.
