The Government of Spain has condemned the new actions by Israeli security forces, backed by members of the Government of Israel, against facilities of the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Specifically, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs points to actions against the UNRWA Vocational Training Center in Qalandia and against the agency's facilities located in the Shu’fat Palestinian refugee camp in East Jerusalem.
The Spanish Executive has categorically rejected what it considers "unacceptable violations of United Nations Agency buildings," recalling that these facilities are protected by immunities recognized by international law. Spain thus maintains that the reported actions violate the international legal framework applicable to United Nations premises.

Given these events, the Government once again urges Israel to respect international law and its assumed obligations, including those that correspond to it as an occupying power. Likewise, Spain demands compliance with the advisory opinions issued by the International Court of Justice.
Finally, the Spanish Government has reiterated its "firm support for UNRWA" and the full implementation of its mandate, which it considers essential to ensure the needs of the Palestinian refugee population are met. Spain places this support within the objective of achieving a "just and lasting peace" in the region through the implementation of the two-state solution.
