The World Cup leaves another great day with comebacks and brilliant performances: Harry Kane dresses as a hero and Belgium makes the comeback of the tournament

This Wednesday, July 1, the World Cup has become more interesting than ever, with three new round of sixteen matches in which many emotions and many great moments have been experienced that will be remembered in this World Cup.

The day began with the match of one of the favorite teams for the title, England, facing one of the revelations of the tournament, Democratic Republic of Congo. It was expected to be a match dominated from start to finish by the English, however, the script of the beginning of the match was very different. The Africans started with a lot of personality and good play, which led them to take the lead in the 7th minute. After this, alarms went off in England, and from then on they began to create some clear chances, but DR Congo defended with everything and hurt them with their counterattacks. It wasn't until the 75th minute that Harry Kane equalized for England, bringing calm back to his people. When it seemed that they were going to go to extra time, again Harry Kane unleashed a brilliant right-footed shot, making it 2-1, being the final hero for the English, who celebrated effusively in front of the sadness of the Africans, who came very close to giving the surprise and advancing to the next round.

At 10:00 PM, Senegal and Belgium would face each other in what has been one of the matches of this tournament so far. The Africans started with much more intensity, clearly outplaying the Belgians, so in the 24th minute they scored the first goal. The Belgian reaction did not come, and it was Senegal who was more comfortable, scoring the second goal in the 51st minute. Belgium's coach even changed his stars, De Bruyne and Doku, seeing that the team was not achieving anything. It seemed that the match was going to end with a victory for Senegal, however sometimes football is totally unpredictable and Belgium pressed in the final minutes scoring two goals, to equalize and force extra time in a match they had almost lost. In extra time, the match was even with some chances for each team, until in the 119th minute, a penalty in favor of the Europeans, made it 3-2 final, signing a historic comeback, which left Senegal devastated and Belgium euphoric.

To conclude the day, host United States would face Bosnia. The Americans owned the match, with some bursts from the Bosnians. On the verge of halftime, Balogun made it 1-0 for the USA, asserting their dominance. However, in the second half, Balogun also saw a red card after an unfortunate tackle. After this, Bosnia took control of the match, creating some chances but without much danger. The match was coming to an end, but before that, on a free kick at the edge of the box, the USA made it 2-0 final, relieving their fans and securing their pass to the round of sixteen.
