A shooting in the town of Isla Cristina in Huelva leaves at least 3 dead, one of them a minor

This same Sunday, in the town of Isla Cristina in Huelva, a shooting was registered at night. This incident has caused the death of at least 3 people, one of them a minor. The shooting took place in the neighborhood of El Rocío, when two hooded people on a motorcycle opened fire on these people and fled.

The Civil Guard has started working on the investigation to try to clarify the circumstances of what happened, as well as to try to identify the alleged culprits. The three deceased people would be a woman, her minor son, and her mother. The three bodies lay on the street floor awaiting the arrival of the judge to the scene of the events to proceed with their removal and be transferred to the Forensic Anatomy where the autopsy will be performed.

Many residents and visitors to the town were able to observe the victims' bodies for a time until they were covered. Even so, images immediately began to circulate on social media. Without official confirmation yet, this event could be a settling of scores related to a previous shooting that took place in the El Torrejón neighborhood of the Huelva capital in September 2024, which resulted in one dead and two injured.

The alleged perpetrator of the fatal shots fled immediately after the events, although weeks later he was located and arrested by the National Police in Gijón, Asturias. In the following weeks, several additional retaliatory or intimidation shootings were registered in the neighborhood, which then moved to Isla Cristina where several relatives of the aggressor took refuge. In this same town, in May 2025, the Civil Guard deployed an operation and arrested three people from this environment for threatening neighbors with firearms and firing shots from rooftops. And not only this, in July of last year another shooting was registered that resulted in one man dead and one woman injured.
