The Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Adif) has stated that it has already attended to “more than 100 requirements” for information from the different bodies that investigate the railway accident registered in Adamuz (Córdoba), within the framework of the open case to clarify what happened.
This has been conveyed by the president of Adif, Pedro Marco, during an appearance before the Committee on Transport and Sustainable Mobility of the Congress of Deputies, where he highlighted the “full willingness” of the entity to collaborate with the investigation.
The requests have been made by the Civil Guard, the court in charge of the case, the Railway Accident Investigation Commission (CIAF), the European Public Prosecutor's Office and even the Labor Inspectorate. According to Marco, Adif has sent “all the requested documentation” by these institutions. Among the information provided are technical reports, data on the infrastructure, circulation records and internal communications, with the aim of providing “maximum transparency.”
The body dependent on the Ministry of Transport insists that its actions have been guided by criteria of institutional collaboration. The Adamuz accident continues under analysis with the participation of multiple bodies with competencies in railway safety, judicial and labor spheres, in a process that, according to Adif, requires an “exhaustive technical analysis”.
