The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, stated today, in an interview on TVE, that it will be known who is behind the attacks that refrigerators in Europe are suffering and the bomb threats on planes, events he described as a "hybrid aggression".
Albares made these statements after a week marked by bomb threats on aircraft, which have affected 27 flights, three of them originating from or destined for Spain, and by attacks on the refrigerators of numerous European supermarkets, in which the temperature has been raised to 50 degrees, with the consequent deterioration of the products.
The minister stressed that, although it will take time to clarify what happened, the result will eventually be known: "It will take us some time to know what happened but we will know," he affirmed. In his opinion, it is an attempt at "hybrid and, in some way, psychological aggression", driven by actors seeking to weaken Europe, which he described as the great bastion of democracy and the "great hope".

The minister links these actions to an attempt to divide Europeans
In José Manuel Albares' opinion, these types of actions bother those who prefer the "law of the strongest" and wish for Europe to return to the "Law of the Jungle". He also pointed out that the objective is to divide Europeans to weaken the European Union (EU) project.
Asked about the time it might take to identify those responsible, the minister explained that he cannot specify, because those who promote these maneuvers take measures to keep the initial source in a "gray area".
Albares also mentioned the complaints registered in the Brazilian elections for operations on digital platforms aimed at interfering in the electoral process, and expressed his conviction that something similar will also happen in the Spanish electoral campaign leading up to the elections on November 29, as these are "especially fragile" moments.
However, he indicated that measures are being applied within the security strategy, although he admitted that their scope is not one hundred percent. In this context, he maintained that the important thing is for citizens to be aware of these risks and to vote with serenity and information, because a citizen aware of these attacks is, in his opinion, the best tool to confront them.
Criticism of the PP for Koldo García's statements
At another point in the interview, José Manuel Albares referred to the statements of Koldo García, in prison and convicted by the Supreme Court for the mask case, according to which the lawyer of the Popular Party (PP) offered him one million euros if he testified against Pedro Sánchez.
The minister described these statements as "something very serious and worrying" and demanded that the PP offer explanations. "The PP has to give explanations because we are facing an enormous and very worrying seriousness for Spanish democracy," he stressed.
