The president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has demanded that Pedro Sánchez deploy the Navy in Ceuta, summon the ambassador of Morocco, and recall the Spanish ambassador in Rabat for consultations, in a message published this morning on his X account.

In that publication, the popular leader warned that the entry of Moroccan ships into Spanish waters “are not an isolated incident, but a repeated aggression that demands a firm response,” and rejected the Government’s version, which maintains that these are isolated episodes.

After it became known that Morocco sent its best warship to Ceuta waters during the arrival of more than 80,000 immigrants on July 30 and 31, the newspaper ABC reported today that a Moroccan patrol boat invaded Ceuta waters after the visit of King Felipe VI and Letizia, where it remained for seven hours until a Civil Guard patrol boat was dispatched.

Feijóo has requested, along with these measures, a “firm response” that includes the deployment of the Navy in the area, in addition to demanding explanations at the highest level from the Moroccan authorities. He has also urged the Executive to inform “Spaniards immediately of what is happening” and closed his message with the phrase: “Spain is not for sale. Spain is defended.”
