The leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, took advantage of this morning's interview on the COPE network to address the government's management following the Adamuz train accident and the current political situation. Feijóo stated that "we are in a critical situation" and emphasized that the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, "cannot sit at the Council of Ministers table tomorrow".

Governance with Vox

The president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, spoke about governability after the elections and pointed out that “all parties must understand the results of the ballot boxes” and that the situation is “critical”. Regarding the possibility of post-election agreements, Feijóo stressed that “we must responsibly guarantee the stability of governments”, leaving the door open to dialogue with different political forces, including those that share the same parliamentary bloc.

Accident Management

Regarding the Adamuz train accident, Feijóo insisted that Óscar Puente cannot sit at the Council of Ministers table tomorrow and denounced that "track maintenance is absolutely insufficient". "Why aren't they giving us information about all this? Our country is already collapsing." He also described the tragedy as "the most serious high-speed accident in our history", and added that "no one resigns here", once again questioning the Government's management of this issue.

Feijóo also referred to political responsibility in the management of Transport and stated that “when one is appointed minister, they cannot end up in jail”. He also denounced “the roster of high-ranking officials who have passed through Transport. The railway lines are at their worst moment when we pay more taxes than ever”, and stressed that “what is clear is that the maintenance of the Spanish railway network is manifestly insufficient. There will be responsibilities from a judicial and political point of view”.
