A year after the great power outage, Alberto Núñez Feijóo has recalled the event with a direct message against the Government. The leader of the Partido Popular maintains that what happened was not an unforeseeable failure, but the consequence of erroneous political decisions in energy matters.

In a video disseminated on the social network X, Feijóo rejects that it was a “black swan” or an inevitable accident. According to his version, the collapse of the electrical system was the result of an energy strategy “disconnected from the laws of physics” and based on ideological criteria that, in his opinion, compromised the stability of the system.

The popular leader reinforces his argument by pointing out what happened the day after the blackout, when he states that with similar meteorological conditions the system functioned normally after the energy mix was modified. For Feijóo, this fact would demonstrate that the failure was not circumstantial, but structural.

Feijóo points directly to several key figures: he mentions the president of Red Eléctrica, Beatriz Corredor, the former Minister for Ecological Transition Teresa Ribera, the current head of the area, Sara Aagesen, and the President of the Government himself, Pedro Sánchez, as political responsible parties for the incident.

Furthermore, Feijóo focuses on the economic impact of the blackout, assuring that citizens have assumed an additional cost of 1,000 million euros in the electricity bill since then. The message concludes with a clear political denunciation: “Four responsible parties and no resignation”
