The leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has asked this Monday for the trust of the Spanish people, barely an hour after the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced in La Moncloa the dissolution of the Cortes and the early general elections for Sunday, November 29.

Feijóo demands the floor for Spain after Pedro Sánchez's announcement

In an institutional statement, Alberto Núñez Feijóo has stressed that, with the election call, “Finally we will be able to choose, Spain has the floor”, and has maintained that these elections are not just another election, but an appointment in which, in his opinion, “Spain wins against Sánchez” and what he represents.

The popular leader has framed the contest in very clear terms, stating that the vote is about “the nation and democracy defeating whoever has caused it the most harm”, and has asked citizens to choose between “corruption or decency” and between “decadence or prosperity”.

The Popular Party releases a video with the message “FINALLY”

Shortly after Pedro Sánchez's announcement, the Popular Party published a message in capital letters on the social network X, “FINALLY”, accompanied by a video in which the party celebrates the election call and presents the early election as an opportunity for change.

“Finally we will be able to say what we think, we will give our opinion, we will do justice, finally the majority will decide”, says the video released by the popular party, which also promises to recover “time, money and hope”.

In that same message, the Popular Party alludes to the situation in Ceuta after the massive entry of migrants and adds the phrase “Ceuta is all of us”. The video concludes with another sequence of messages in which the party promises to talk about “your family, your home, your economy, your life”, and finishes: “Our future will begin, we will tear down the walls. We will be able to vote. Finally”.
