The president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has taken advantage of the last day of the 2025 Income Tax campaign to launch a message against the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, focused on the Executive's fiscal policy. The message disseminated by the 'popular' once again places tax cuts at the center of the party's economic discourse.
In this context, through a video published on the social network X, Feijóo accuses the Government of maintaining a high tax burden on citizens and presents the PP as the alternative to reduce the tax burden.
"Sánchez will continue to crush you with taxes. With us you will pay less and what you pay will also serve to improve and take care of the things that really matter. Pay less, live better," states the popular leader in the recording released coinciding with the close of the Personal Income Tax (IRPF) campaign.

Last hours to file the Income Tax return: more than 25 million
Feijóo's political offensive comes precisely on the day that the Income Tax campaign corresponding to the 2025 fiscal year officially concludes. This June 30 marks the end of the deadline for taxpayers to file their personal income tax returns, as well as wealth tax.
In addition, this Monday was the last opportunity to request an appointment to receive telephone or in-person assistance from the Tax Agency in preparing the declarations.
However, the deadline for those who had to pay an amount by direct debit ended several days earlier, specifically on June 25, as established by the tax campaign calendar.
The Tax Agency estimates that more than 25.2 million declarations will be filed during this campaign, which represents an increase compared to the previous year, driven, among other factors, by the evolution of the labor market.
The agency's forecasts indicate that personal income tax collection will reach 24,628 million euros, while refunds to taxpayers will amount to 13,271 million.
Since the beginning of the campaign, on April 8, citizens have been able to complete their procedures online, by telephone through the assistance program enabled by the Treasury or in person at the Tax Agency offices.
