The Royal House confirms the visit to the two autonomous cities

King Felipe VI and Letizia will visit Ceuta and Melilla on October 13 and 14, Zarzuela announced this Thursday. Sources from the Royal House have also specified that the visit "has been agreed upon by the Government and the Royal House", although for the moment they have not offered more details about the planned itinerary or the events that will make up the agenda.

This is the first trip of the Kings to both autonomous cities since Felipe VI ascended to the throne in June 2014, a journey that comes after years without a joint visit of the Monarchs to these two territories. For now, the information released by Zarzuela is limited to confirming the dates and the institutional framework in which the trip has been prepared.

The same sources have not yet specified whether Felipe VI and Letizia will hold meetings with local authorities or participate in public events, so the agenda of the visit remains, for the moment, undetailed.
