The spokesperson for Junts in Congress, Miriam Nogueras, explained this Tuesday that she will run to be the party's candidate in the general elections on November 29, while ruling out facilitating a possible government of PP and Vox.
Nogueras defended that in Carles Puigdemont's party they are a "bloc" and highlighted the work done by the formation, with express references to the Amnesty Law, the law to combat multi-offending and the ALS law, among other initiatives.
Criticism of the Government for the housing decrees
The pro-independence leader lamented that Junts has been the target of criticism, and even, she said, of reproaches for the lack of support for the housing decrees, and accused the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, of having allowed himself to be "dragged by the extremes."
"We have two Spanish blocs very skewed to the extremes, one to the left and the other to the far right. We are the ones in the middle," said Miriam Nogueras, who claimed that Junts' only bloc is Catalonia and blamed Sánchez for having wasted the opportunity that, in her opinion, they offered him.
Junts maintains its rejection of a possible pact between PP and Vox
Although she admitted that opposing the housing decrees was the least comfortable option, Nogueras defended that the party decided to "get involved" and assured that they will continue to do so. In that context, she ruled out supporting a possible PP-Vox Executive: "Absolutely, the only one who has pact with PP and Vox in this legislature is called PSOE."
"With our votes, PP-Vox will not govern," stressed the spokesperson for Junts in Congress, who also criticized Sánchez for now taking the housing decrees to the Permanent Deputation, despite the fact that, she acknowledged, it is legal.
Request to Pedro Sánchez regarding the Permanent Deputation
In that part of the interview, Miriam Nogueras asked the President of the Government not to use the Permanent Deputation or the set of tools available to the State "for the electoral propaganda that suits his party."
