Más Madrid has brought before the Court of Accounts the acquisition by the Community of Madrid of a penthouse in the Chamberí neighborhood, considering that the operation could have caused a detriment to public funds. The party demands that the auditing body examine all the details of the sale and determine if there was a patrimonial loss for the Madrid Administration.
The property was acquired by the public company Planifica Madrid for about 6.3 million euros and, a few weeks after the operation was made public, the Community announced its intention to put it up for sale for nearly 6.7 million. Isabel Díaz Ayuso's government initially justified the purchase by stating that the property would serve to host official meetings while the works on the Presidency's headquarters in Puerta del Sol were being carried out.
