Emiliano García-Page, one of the last great strongmen of the PSOE, not only resists in his Autonomous Community but increases in popularity. While in the rest of the regions the socialist party has lost voters, as has been reflected in the last elections in Extremadura and Aragon, in the government of Castilla-La Mancha, according to the polls, he would gain two more deputies, from 17 to 19, with 17 being the minimum necessary for an absolute majority, and surpassing the Popular Party by 27 points.
The intention to vote would remain in first place for the PSOE with 49.2%, followed by the PP with 22.8%, which is equivalent to 7 deputies, as a third force would be Vox with 20.2%, equaling the PP in representatives, and in last place, Podemos with 2.8% and zero deputies. In the last elections of 2023, the PSOE obtained 17 deputies and the absolute majority, and in the opposition, the PP reached 12 and Vox 4 representatives.
Page stands out for his independent line and criticism of Sánchez. He denounces the pacts with the independence movement and is harshly critical of the recent instability of the central government due to the shocks from the latest corruption cases that have come to light. A discourse that is working increasingly well in Castilla-La Mancha, in dissonance with territories where the PSOE has historically governed, such as Extremadura or Andalusia, and Communities where it governed before the last regional elections of 2023, such as La Rioja, Valencian Community, Aragon, and the Balearic Islands.
