A tweet by Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, chief of staff of the president of the Community of Madrid, where he compares leaders of Más Madrid with characters from the film Addams Family has generated controversy on the social network X. In his publication, Rodríguez accompanied an image of several Más Madrid leaders —among them Manuela Bergerot, spokesperson for the Más Madrid Parliamentary Group in the Assembly— with the comment: “Today the Addams family has asked for my resignation… (for those who don't know, these are the genius leaders of Más Madrid. SOS)”.

In this context, the general secretary of the PSOE in Madrid, Óscar López, has publicly accused Rodríguez of “intimidating and harassing the press”. These statements are part of a broader criticism by the Socialist Party regarding what they consider a strategy of pressure and confrontation with media outlets critical of the regional Executive.
For her part, the Más Madrid spokesperson has been one of the most forceful voices on this front. In various public interventions, Bergerot has questioned Rodríguez's role within the regional Government, going so far as to refer to her practices in very harsh terms and linking them to a way of exercising power that, in her opinion, deteriorates democratic quality. Along these lines, her party has gone beyond political criticism and has formally requested her dismissal in the Madrid Assembly.
