Maritime Rescue and the Civil Guard have rescued this Wednesday a dinghy carrying 26 migrants, a vessel that was about eight miles southeast of Formentera, as reported by the Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands.
The operation took place around 08:30 a.m. this Wednesday, when emergency services went to provide assistance to this group of people, of Maghrebi origin, in a coordinated intervention in waters near the island.
The number of intercepted people this Wednesday rises to 78
With this new rescue, the total number of migrants intercepted during this Wednesday has already risen to 78 people, after the different operations registered in the vicinity of the Balearic Islands.
