The spokesperson for the Popular Party, in Congress, Ester Muñoz, today criticized the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, for apologizing yesterday to the French Prime Minister for Mariano Rajoy's article. In said article, the former president stated that the French national football team had a good team but that it was not made up of French people. These statements by the former President of the Government have caused much controversy in Spain and around the world, being categorized as "racist" and "xenophobic" statements.

But Muñoz has urged the president to apologize for parading around the world with his brother, his right-hand man, and his attorney general convicted by the courts. The 'popular' leader addressed this issue, for which she was asked how the PP felt about the President of the Government apologizing during his visit to France for Rajoy's statements. "It felt neither good nor bad, it's Pedro Sánchez in action," Muñoz stressed, who also recalled that the head of the Executive was not ashamed when one of his ministers called the Prime Minister of Argentina a drug addict. "He uses absolutely everything and doesn't care about creating diplomatic crises in order to try to get a little bit ahead," the PP spokesperson continued.

Not only that, but she also believes that this article by Rajoy "came in very handy" because it avoids talking about "all the corruption" affecting the Government, also recalling that yesterday, July 14, his brother was convicted as a necessary cooperator in the prevarication to award him the position at the Extremadura Conservatory. To conclude her statements, according to Ester Muñoz, Pedro Sánchez should apologize for "parading around the world" shaming Spaniards as president "with a convicted brother, with a convicted Attorney General, with his right-hand man and minister of his government convicted to 24 years for stealing," she highlighted.
