The PP maintains its conspiracy theory about Morocco after Pedro Sánchez's interview, accuses him of "not responding to citizens" and ironizes: "Could it be that he is still on vacation?"

The Popular Party has lashed out at the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, for his answers during the interview he gave this Monday to 'El Intermedio', where he again denied that Morocco is blackmailing the Executive with information extracted from his mobile phone using the Pegasus program.

The president's statements have provoked a reaction from the popular party, who have questioned Sánchez's limitation to calling "hoaxes" the information and theories that link the content of his phone with the government's policy towards Morocco. "Spaniards want to know what Morocco knows about Sánchez," the PP said in a message published on X. The popular party has reproached the president for, in their opinion, not having given explanations on this matter. "But the president does not answer the citizens: he laughs, talks about 'hoaxes'. Could it be that he is still on vacation?", the party added.

Sánchez denies blackmail from Morocco

During his interview with Gran Wyoming, Sánchez rejected that Morocco is subjecting the Government to alleged blackmail through information obtained from his mobile phone with Pegasus. The president also denied that there is evidence to attribute to the Moroccan Executive the massive entry of migrants registered in Ceuta on July 30.

"These hoaxes that are being spread about the mobile phone or about other issues, well, maybe they are good for a Netflix series, but reality has to be built on facts and not on hoaxes," he affirmed during the interview.

The president insisted that the Government currently does not have evidence that places Morocco behind the massive entry of migrants in Ceuta, which he himself described as an "avalanche". However, he left open the possibility that the Executive may adopt measures if the participation of the neighboring country is proven in the future.

Tellado vindicates Vivas against Sánchez

The PP's criticism of Sánchez comes on the same day that the president of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, went for the first time to 'El Hormiguero' to address the migratory crisis suffered by the autonomous city. The general secretary of the PP, Miguel Tellado, has come out in defense of Vivas and has taken advantage of his intervention to lash out at the Government's actions during the crisis.

"It is a pride to see President Vivas defending Ceuta and all of Spain. Faced with a lying and indolent government, Juan Jesús Vivas, has behaved with dignity, sense of state and responsibility before, during and after the invasion. We will not forget Ceuta and we will continue to demand that our compatriots recover normality," he wrote through his social networks.
