Ayuso, weaker than ever before her multiple scandals: at Génova 13 they already see the 'wolf's ears'

Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, is weaker than ever. For the first time, at Génova 13, that is, in the national leadership of the Popular Party, led, as you already know, by Alberto Núñez Feijóo, they have started to see the writing on the wall.

They have begun to realize —and this is information we publish in 'ElConstitucional.es', the newspaper I direct— that the Madrid president is not immune and that the scandals and controversies she has accumulated are wearing her down more and more.

At Génova 13, they are already starting to consider a possible scenario: that Isabel Díaz Ayuso may have to resign or that she may not be able to run again as a candidate in the next regional elections of the Community of Madrid, which, as you know, are just around the corner.

This is what is noteworthy and truly remarkable. For the first time, in the national leadership of the PP, they are assuming that Ayuso cannot go against everything and everyone, that she is human and that such a quantity of scandals and controversies, week after week, is taking its toll.

The president of the Community of Madrid herself is starting to be questioned both within the PP of Madrid and in the national leadership of the party.

I will give you several examples.

Sources from Génova 13 tell us that it is the first time that Isabel Díaz Ayuso has backed down. What do they mean? I insist, this is information. These are sources from the national leadership of the Popular Party with whom 'ElConstitucional.es' has spoken. They refer to a turning point: the luxury penthouse in Chamberí.

As I like to quote the media, our colleagues from 'El País' have revealed that the Community of Madrid, with public money, with the money of each and every one of the people of Madrid, has bought an apartment, a luxury penthouse in Chamberí.

The explanations from Ayuso's team are that the property will be temporarily used as offices while the Royal Post Office, headquarters of the Government of the Community of Madrid, is undergoing renovations.

The problem is that the current regulations, the General Urban Planning Plan of Madrid, state the opposite. It establishes that this apartment, in that building and on that floor, can only be obligatorily used for residential purposes and cannot be used as an office.

The conclusion is that Ayuso and her team tried to pull a fast one on us. The property is not suitable for offices and, furthermore, at first glance, with five bathrooms, five bedrooms, and even an area designated for service, it doesn't exactly seem conceived for that use.

This has marked a turning point. The visual impact of the photographs published by the media and exclusively shown by 'Mañaneros 360' on Televisión Española has also influenced. Added to this are the investigations carried out by other media, such as 'Ecosocial.es', about this big lie that, that's the conclusion, Isabel Díaz Ayuso's team has tried to sell to the people of Madrid.

All of this has greatly worn down Isabel Díaz Ayuso and has placed her in question even within Génova 13.

Don't believe it? One only has to listen to the words of Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo herself, a friend of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, or at least she was, who admitted in 'El País' that she still doesn't understand what happened with Ayuso and the luxury penthouse in Chamberí. I insist: Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo, a representative of the hard wing of the Popular Party, has publicly stated that she doesn't understand the situation with Ayuso and her penthouse.

“Blunder after blunder.” This is the textual phrase that sources from Génova 13 convey to 'ElConstitucional.es', the newspaper I direct.

At the national leadership of the Popular Party, they are beginning to assume that Ayuso can no longer withstand the scandals and controversies she has accumulated.

The luxury penthouse in Chamberí. Her partner, Alberto González Amador, investigated for multiple crimes. And countless more controversies, including the one related to her brother, which was eventually archived, yes, but which remains on the table in the political debate. It is increasingly difficult for Isabel Díaz Ayuso to resist the wear and tear of controversies.

At Génova 13, they know this and, for the first time, they have realized that she is not immune. They are even beginning to consider that she might resign or that she might not be able to run again as a candidate in the next regional elections.

We will see what happens. But that scenario is already being considered, it is already on the table and is already being analyzed by the national leadership of the Popular Party.
