Alberto Núñez Feijóo will once again sit down with Pablo Motos on 'El Hormiguero' next Wednesday, November 11. The leader of the Popular Party (PP) will visit the Antena 3 program a few days before the start of the campaign for the general elections on 29N and five months after his last interview on the show.
The PP leadership has confirmed the appointment and keeps another possible televised visit by the candidate up in the air. His team does not rule out Feijóo also attending 'La Revuelta', the program that David Broncano hosts on La 1, although they assure that no decision has been made yet.
The host has invited the candidates to visit his set before the elections. The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has already been there, and, together, the Podemos candidate, Irene Montero, and the spokesperson for Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC), Gabriel Rufián.
The next to do so will be the leader of the far-right Vox, Santiago Abascal, whose interview is scheduled for Monday, November 9. Broncano himself confirmed his presence on the program, after several days of rumors about the visit.
Feijóo returns to Pablo Motos' set
Wednesday's interview will be a reunion for Feijóo and Motos. The PP candidate was last on 'El Hormiguero' on June 17, when the program gathered 1,630,000 viewers and registered a 13.1% audience share, on a night when it competed with the World Cup on La 1.
His most-watched visit in terms of share came during the pre-campaign for the 2023 general elections. Then, the interview reached 25.9% and 3,079,000 viewers, a result that remains the program's record share.
The popular leader's interview schedule also includes a stop outside of television. Feijóo has accepted the invitation from content creator Jordi Wild to participate in his podcast 'The Wild Project', along with three other presidential candidates. The conversations are scheduled for November 13, the first day of the campaign.
