Santiago Abascal has accepted David Broncano's invitation and will appear on La Revuelta next Monday, November 9, as confirmed this Thursday by Vox sources. The interview is scheduled on La 1, as part of the round of candidates for the general elections that the program opened in October. The date has been confirmed by the far-right party and RTVE has not yet publicly announced it.
The leader of Vox will sit on the set of a public television channel that he has attacked again this Thursday. In Albacete, he accused TVE of manipulating his party's positions and maliciously cutting his statements. The attacks go back further. In September 2025, Vox deputy Manuel Mariscal told the corporation's president, José Pablo López, that if his party came to power, he would have to decide whether to enter Radiotelevisión Española "with a chainsaw or a flamethrower". In February, he used those expressions again in the parliamentary committee for RTVE control.
Broncano extended the invitation to all candidates for the presidency of the Government in mid-October. Abascal will be the fourth to appear on the program after Pedro Sánchez, who attended on October 22, and Irene Montero and Gabriel Rufián, who shared a sofa five days later. The Vox leader's visit is scheduled four days before the official campaign for the November 29 elections begins.
Two record nights on La 1
The interview with Sánchez gathered an average of 4,387,000 viewers and reached a 33.9% audience share, the best figure in the history of La Revuelta. According to RTVE's balance, it was also the most watched non-sporting broadcast of the year until then. The episode with Montero and Rufián also led its night, with 2,654,000 viewers and a 21.7% share, the second best for the program.
Broncano's show closed October with an average of 1,716,000 viewers and a 14.1% share, its best monthly result in almost two years. Among the candidates who have yet to visit is Ada Colau, who has publicly accepted the invitation and is still awaiting a date. Alberto Núñez Feijóo has not yet communicated whether he will attend.
