The program 'Malas Lenguas Noche', presented by Jesús Cintora on La 2 de TVE, has achieved a new milestone in its trajectory by surpassing 'laSexta Xplica', one of its main competitors on Saturday nights, in audience for the first time. The show registered a 4.8% screen share, compared to the 4.3% obtained by the Atresmedia network's format.
The victory comes just three weeks after the premiere of the night edition of the program and confirms an upward trend that has been consolidating broadcast after broadcast. Just a few days ago, both shows had their closest confrontation to date, with a minimal difference that already anticipated a possible change in leadership.
One of the factors explaining this growth has been RTVE's decision to move up the broadcast time of 'Malas Lenguas Noche' to 9:40 PM. This strategy has allowed it to compete more directly with political current affairs programs in prime time and attract an increasingly wider audience.
The good results are also reflected in the daily edition of the format. During May, 'Malas Lenguas' reached an average of 6.9% screen share and 479,000 viewers on La 2, widely doubling the channel's average and becoming one of the most prominent programs on the schedule.
The first week of June further reinforced this positive dynamic. The show surpassed 7% share in most of its broadcasts and managed to position itself ahead of other consolidated current affairs and entertainment formats, consolidating its position within the national television offering.
With an average close to 5% in its Saturday broadcasts and several historical audience highs, the program directed by Jesús Cintora has become one of the great surprises of the season. Its constant growth demonstrates that RTVE's commitment to political analysis and current affairs continues to gain ground among viewers.
