Operación Triunfo will remain linked to streaming. Prime Video has decided to renew the successful musical format and is already working with Gestmusic on a new edition that will see the light in 2027, thus consolidating its commitment to one of the most influential programs on Spanish television, according to what has been exclusively advanced by verTele!.

The decision comes after the good performance of the 2023 and 2025 editions, which marked the definitive leap of the format to the digital environment. Both companies have opted to maintain the two-year break between seasons, a strategy that allows to “oxygenate” the format, reinforce public interest and give space to contestants to develop their careers after leaving the Academy led by Noemí Galera.

For Gestmusic, this will already be the 14th edition of ‘OT’, in a particularly symbolic context, as the format will celebrate in 2026 its 25th anniversary since its premiere on RTVE. In the case of Prime Video, it will be its third season of the talent show, becoming one of its big bets to connect with young audiences and strengthen its position in the competitive streaming market.
