Rosalía has once again visited the set of Jimmy Fallon. The Catalan singer visited NBC's The Tonight Show this Wednesday, where she reviewed some of the anecdotes she has experienced during the six months of her international tour LUX. Among them, a particularly curious one related to religion, one of the great imaginaries present in her latest project: her failed attempt to attend a gospel mass in a well-known Harlem church.
The artist decided to go to the Abyssinian Baptist Church, one of the most famous temples in the New York neighborhood, and wanted to prepare especially for the occasion. Rosalía explained to Fallon that she showered, put on makeup, perfumed herself, and used different personal care products before choosing a style she considered appropriate for the church. "I made myself beautiful for God," she explained with a laugh, also playing with the expression hot for God.
The outfit was carefully thought out: capri pants, a cardigan, and small-heeled shoes. Rosalía assured that she took it very seriously and wanted to go dressed appropriately to hear the word of the Lord. However, after facing the cold and waiting for a long time in line, her plan was thwarted upon reaching the entrance.
As she told Fallon, a man at the door informed her that she could not enter because the church was full. The singer, however, had the feeling that the reason was different. "They looked at me with a 'you're not on the list' face," she said. Rosalía admitted that she had never imagined she could be rejected from a church and turned the situation into a new anecdote from her tour.

"God told me no, but my outfit said yes"
With mass ruled out, Fallon wanted to know what she did then. Rosalía's answer was immediate: "I went to buy new shoes". The host took advantage of the situation to joke with her: "That's what the Lord would have wanted".
The singer continued the game and finished the story with another of her phrases: "God told me no, but my outfit said yes". Despite the unexpected outcome, Rosalía assured that she intends to return to church on another occasion.
The anecdote also fits with the religious universe that has accompanied LUX, a work full of spiritual and religious references that have also had a strong presence during her tour. From Mio Cristo to Dios es un stalker, passing through the confessional that was part of the show, spirituality has been one of the central elements of this artistic stage.
A confession about her bodyguard
During the interview, Rosalía also recalled one of the most particular elements of her show: the confessional, through which artists like Aitana, Karol G, Soy una Pringada, or Cara Delevingne passed to share personal and love stories. Fallon wanted to know if Rosalía herself had any confession to make. The artist ended up revealing a curious habit related to her security team: "I have a bodyguard named Víctor and, sometimes, I hide from him".

The singer explained that, during a six-month tour, these types of games helped her break the routine. According to her, she sometimes even speeds up or runs to try to make her bodyguard lose sight of her. “It's the spark of life,” she joked.
After closing her LUX Tour, which brought together nearly 980,000 spectators in 17 countries, Rosalía now faces a new television appearance in the United States. The artist will be one of the guests on Saturday Night Live next October 10.

Of games with Tate McRae
Rosalía's visit to the show also left room for games and complicity with Tate McRae, who participated with the Catalan in one of the entertainment moments of the program. The Canadian singer, one of the great stars of current pop, shared the set with Rosalía in an intervention that allowed showing again the most carefree facet of the Spanish artist away from the big stages of the LUX Tour.
