The anticipated sequel to Zootopia —Zootopia 2— will finally make the leap to Disney+. The platform has announced that the film will be available starting next March 11 in its catalog, which will allow subscribers to watch from home one of the biggest cinematic phenomena of the last year.
The film, which was one of the biggest box office successes of recent times for Walt Disney Animation Studios, became the highest-grossing animated film of the Motion Picture Association, grossing around 1.850 billion dollars worldwide and winning the BAFTA for best animated film, in addition to being nominated for an Oscar in the same category.
In Zootopia 2, the beloved police officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde once again face a new investigation when the mysterious snake Gary De’Snake arrives in the city and turns the animal metropolis upside down. The plot leads the protagonists to venture into unexplored areas of the city, testing their alliance as they solve the enigma that haunts Zootopia.
Its arrival on Disney+ expands the platform's catalog with one of the most anticipated titles by families and animation fans, offering fun, adventures, and an original soundtrack which includes the new single Zoo, performed by Shakira.
