The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will attend 'La Revuelta' this Thursday, October 22, the program by David Broncano on La 1 of TVE. The head of the Executive has accepted the presenter's invitation to participate in the television show, which has opened its doors to the main candidates for the upcoming general elections on November 29.
The interview will take place at a time marked by the preparation for the election and the first moves of the parties ahead of the campaign. Sánchez's presence will allow the socialist leader to attend one of the most well-known entertainment programs on public television and address an audience that also includes young viewers.
Broncano invited the main candidates
The invitation was made public last week, when Broncano announced that he wanted to interview the representatives of the main political forces before the elections. The presenter explained that, as it is a public television program and in an electoral context, they had the responsibility to offer the possibility of participating to the different candidates.
"Pedro, Alberto, Santiago and whoever... you are all invited, you can come here to comment on the election buzz, we are here in La Revuelta, this is your home," Broncano stated during the program.
The proposal was addressed to Pedro Sánchez, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, Santiago Abascal and the candidate of the Frente Amplio. The presenter also remembered Gabriel Rufián, who had previously participated in the space.
Sánchez also has Jordi Wild's invitation pending
Pedro Sánchez's decision to attend 'La Revuelta' contrasts with his situation regarding 'The Wild Project', Jordi Wild's podcast, which has also invited the main candidates for the general elections on November 29. According to Europa Press, the President of the Government had still not responded to this proposal, while Alberto Núñez Feijóo, Santiago Abascal and Ada Colau had already accepted to participate.
Jordi Wild has set a deadline until this Friday, October 23, to finalize the participations. The content creator has announced that the interviews will be "tough and inquisitive" and that he will have two independent journalists to verify the data mentioned during the conversations.
The interview comes before the 29-N elections
Sánchez's participation is part of the round of political interviews that 'La Revuelta' intends to conduct before the elections. The program had confirmed that two of the invited candidates had agreed to attend, although it had not initially revealed their identities.
The presence of the Prime Minister positions the TVE program as one of the television settings where political leaders can connect with viewers outside of traditional political interview formats. For now, the invitation has been extended to the main candidates, so it remains to be seen whether the rest of the leaders will confirm their attendance to the program in the coming days.
