Televisión Española gathered this Wednesday in Studio 5 of Prado del Rey a hundred faces from its news programs, magazines, contests, fiction, and sports shows to present the 2026-2027 season. The network faces the new season under the motto 'Unstoppable' and on the verge of celebrating 70 years since the start of its broadcasts.

The director of TVE, Sergio Calderón, wanted to dedicate the launch to the corporation's employees. "In this House, we workers have recovered the enthusiasm and passion for doing things," he stated before advocating for television made with "rigor" and "credibility," but also capable of accompanying, entertaining, and making people laugh.

Calderón extended that recognition to the teams responsible for the different areas of the network. "We have once again immersed ourselves in wonderful fiction stories," he celebrated during a speech in which he presented TVE's current moment as the result of collective work.

The presentation came after La 1 closed its best season in 14 years and La 2 achieved its best in 16. These results support the recovery of public television and Calderón used them to set the next challenge: to strengthen the entertainment offering and maintain the commitment to daily fiction and new series destined for prime time.

Among the first novelties are 'MasterChef Celebrity Legends' and 'El túnel', which will be joined by proposals such as 'El escondite', 'Hitster', 'La cena de los idiotas', 'El lugar de los hechos', '¡Cuánta guerra!' and 'El año en que naciste'. The news programs will also premiere a new set and graphic line during a season especially linked to the history of the network.

For Calderón, the motto 'Unstoppable' aims to express an attitude far from the "easy vanity" that can accompany the world of television. "There is the intention to always be in motion, always creating and always thinking," he explained before advocating for a TVE dedicated to public service and capable of fulfilling all its functions.
