La Séptima received a welcome from José Pablo López this Thursday on its first day of broadcast. The president of RTVE wanted to congratulate the team of the new channel and defended that public and private television can complement each other to offer more options to viewers.
"More pluralism, more options and a public and private television that complement each other to offer the best to citizens," López wrote in a message published on X. The president of the corporation accompanied his congratulation with a wish for the professionals who are launching the project. "The best of luck to the entire La Séptima team at the start of its broadcasts. Welcome!".
Más pluralismo, más opciones y una televisión pública y privada que se complementen para ofrecer lo mejor a la ciudadanía.

The message arrives on a special day for a team that includes faces that until recently were part of RTVE. Among them are Javier Ruiz, who presented Mañaneros 360 on La 1 before moving to La Séptima as editorial director, and Sarah Santaolalla, a collaborator on several public television programs and now presenter of En Línea.
Ruiz was precisely in charge of welcoming viewers this Thursday, when the channel started its live programming at 12:00 p.m. From the newsroom, he presented a project that, as he explained, has more than 110 journalists and is born with current affairs, honesty, and plurality as commitments.
Then it was Verónica Sanz's turn at the helm of El Pulso and Santaolalla with En Línea, where she interviewed Gabriel Rufián. The premiere programming also includes Víctor Manuel's visit to Sobre la Mesa, with Rocío Delgado, and Carlos Cuerpo's interview with Javier Ruiz on La Última Hora.
Good wishes for the premiere
The president of RTVE was not the only one to welcome the arrival of La Séptima. Journalist Aimar Bretos sent a hug to his colleagues and highlighted that the birth of a new media outlet is good news for plurality and for those who love journalism. Among the channel's professionals are Javier Ruiz and Héctor de Miguel, both also linked to the history of Cadena SER.
Toñi Moreno joined the congratulations with a message of good luck for the team. "Every time a media outlet is born, it's a reason for celebration," wrote the presenter. Marta Riesco also wished good luck to her colleagues at the new channel.
Journalist Carlos Sobrín, for his part, shared his first impressions after watching El Pulso. "It seems like they've been on air for a year," he commented, before wishing good luck to the professionals of La Séptima in this new stage.
