The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has thanked, through his social networks, the work of the Plan Infoca, Andalusia's Forest Fire Extinction Service, in the fight against fires. Likewise, he has asked: "Please, maximum caution throughout the summer." "Prevention, caution and something that is also very important: everyone's collaboration," he has clamored through X.
The forest fire declared on Thursday afternoon in the area of Camino de la Borralla, in the Huelva municipality of Villablanca, has been brought under control during the early hours of this Friday, according to the Plan Infoca. Despite this, the extinction teams continue to work on the ground to secure the perimeter and completely extinguish any possible hot spots.
The flames originated in a mountainous area close to agricultural plots and uncultivated land, whose layout helped to slow the advance of the fire by acting as a natural barrier.
To confront the fire, it was necessary to mobilize a large deployment consisting of 28 ground personnel, including three groups of forest firefighters, two operations technicians, and an environmental agent. The operation also had the support of two fire engines and two medium-heavy helicopters.
Cada día hay una media de 15 conatos de incendios forestales en #Andalucía. ¡Ni un solo riesgo!

Por favor, máxima prudencia durante todo el verano.
Prevención, cautela y algo que también es muy importante: la colaboración de todos.

With this fire, Huelva now has three forest fires in the last 48 hours. To the one in Villablanca are added the one registered on Wednesday in the Santa Catalina area, in Lucena del Puerto, which has already been stabilized, and another declared on Thursday in Niebla, which forced the preventive evacuation of the villages of Raboconejo and Caballón.
