Ayuso believes that the "ultra-left" does not care about evictions, after minimizing the case of Maricarmen, and shifts the focus to Ceuta: "Spain invaded"

Isabel Díaz Ayuso once again attacks the Government a day after minimizing the eviction of Maricarmen, the 87-year-old woman expelled from the home she had lived in for seven decades, occurred "in compliance with the law." The president of the Community of Madrid has now used her X account to raise the tone of her criticism of the Executive and link the controversy over the eviction with the migration crisis in Ceuta.

"The ultra-left that governs us has never cared about evictions, which is why it has done nothing in 8 years," Ayuso wrote this Friday. The Madrid leader maintains that the Government would have used Maricarmen's case to "divert attention from Ceuta while trying to solve it in a botched way."

Her message continues with a direct accusation to the media, political parties, and social platforms that have focused on the woman's eviction. "But everyone has gone after the decoy: media, politicians, paid platforms..." Ayuso states in her publication.

The Madrid president thus once again places Maricarmen's case within her political confrontation with the central Executive, after she defended yesterday that the judicial eviction was one of the 25,500 evictions carried out annually in Spain. Ayuso then recalled that the National Police depends on the Government and maintained that the eviction occurred by judicial order and under the protection of legislation that, she affirmed, the Executive and its partners have had eight years to modify.

From Maricarmen to Ceuta

"Result: Spain remains invaded and isolated from the main Western countries, but that is not important. Only what the governmental apparatus indicates," states the Madrid president. Ayuso concludes her publication by accusing the Executive of acting against Spaniards and questioning the use of public resources: "Let us not be surprised then that this popular front shits on all Spaniards. It does with public opinion (and your money) whatever it pleases."

The new statements come after Maricarmen's case has provoked a strong political and social reaction. The 87-year-old woman was evicted on Wednesday from the home in the Retiro district where she had lived for about seven decades, after years of conflict over her rental contract. The eviction generated concentrations and protests in Madrid, including a mobilization in front of the penthouse acquired by the Community of Madrid.
