Ayuso crosses all limits by resorting again to her phrase "I like fruit" to insult Sánchez: "He is unhinged"

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, faced this Wednesday one of his most important appearances in the Congress of Deputies, where he spoke about the judicial cases that are being investigated and that affect the Executive, after the recent 'mask case' ruling with the conviction of former Minister of Transport José Luis Ábalos to 24 years in prison. On the other hand, he also addressed the case of former militant Leire Díez and Santos Cerdán, as well as the indictment of former President of the Government José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.

However, in his turn to reply after the accusations and pressures from the opposition, he attacked the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, for supporting the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, in relation to the investigations into her partner, Alberto González Amador, after a report from the Tax Agency was released stating that he invoiced 4.4 million euros through his companies to Quirón Prevención between 2021 and 2023.

In this political context, Ayuso has given an interview on 'Telecinco' in which she has responded to the accusations made by the Government and has directly attacked Sánchez after his references to her personal and political environment. The Madrid leader has called the head of the Executive a "shameless" and "scoundrel", and has reacted to his words with a phrase already common in her public discourse: "I remembered again that I really like fruit."

Díaz Ayuso has thus recovered the expression used by her team after the episode that occurred during the investiture debate of 2023, when, after Sánchez's allusions to the Madrid president's brother, she was caught by cameras calling the President of the Government "son of a bitch".

In her interview, Ayuso has assured that Sánchez "is unhinged" and that his political project "is about to fall, totally rotten", while maintaining that the president "has his days numbered."

The Madrid president has gone further by stating that Spain "is in the hands of a mafia" and has pointed out that "everything that surrounds" Sánchez is ending up in prison, "as will end up happening to him." She has also defended that leaders like José Luis Ábalos or José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero "have felt impunity."

Ayuso has also addressed the latest information on the investigations into her partner and has maintained that the Treasury has "chopped up the file" to "prolong it over time" and keep alive what she has defined as a "state operation" against her.
