At a time when miracle diets, impossible routines, and quick fixes for improving health abound, more and more experts insist on returning to basics: sustainable habits over time.

Doctora Enriqueta Garijo, a specialist with over 20 years of experience in women's health and well-being, summarizes it clearly: it's not about making radical changes, but about incorporating small routines that can be maintained over time and truly help the body and mind.

“I don't seek perfection, I seek consistency”

The doctor explains on her Instagram account @dra.enriquetagarijo that her personal approach is not based on perfection, but on consistency. Throughout her clinical career, she has observed how daily habits directly influence people's physical, emotional, and energetic states.

For this reason, she has integrated a series of simple practices into her daily life that, she affirms, help her feel better and maintain balance.

Meditation, movement, and conscious eating

One of her pillars is to start the day with a few minutes of calm. She dedicates between 10 and 15 minutes to meditation or deep breathing exercises. “It helps me to center myself and start the day with more clarity,” she explains.

The second habit is daily movement. It's not necessarily about intense workouts, but about staying active: walking, stretching, or performing gentle strength exercises. “The body is designed to move every day,” she points out.

Nutrition is another key point. Doctor Garijo advocates a diet based on fresh, natural, and nutrient-rich foods, without falling into extreme restrictions. She especially highlights the importance of maintaining an adequate protein intake for the proper functioning of the body.

Less screens, better rest

The fourth habit has to do with rest and digital disconnection. The specialist tries to reduce screen use before sleeping to improve sleep quality and promote mental disconnection at the end of the day.

As she explains, this simple gesture has a direct impact on nocturnal rest and the feeling of energy the next day.

“Small habits, big changes”

For Doctora Enriqueta Garijo, well-being does not depend on drastic changes or quick solutions, but on the sum of small daily decisions.

"There are no magic formulas. What makes the difference is consistency over time," she states.

Her message is clear: anyone can improve their well-being by incorporating simple and realistic habits into their daily routine, without the need to follow extreme diets or impossible-to-maintain programs.
