The AVE and Avant Users Platform of Ciudad Real and Puertollano denounced this Friday the "chaos" and lack of organization that, it claims, travelers are suffering in their trips to Madrid after the interruption of the high-speed line due to the railway accident in Urda (Toledo).

In statements to the media, the platform's spokesperson, Pablo López, assured that the alternative device enabled by Renfe is causing numerous disruptions among users, who arrive at Ciudad Real station without knowing if they will make the journey by train or bus, or how long it will take them to reach their destination.

"The service is quite chaotic," lamented Pablo López, who explained that, despite Renfe announcing this Thursday the continuity of conventional rail connections between Ciudad Real and Madrid, with connecting services to Puertollano, travelers are being diverted indiscriminately to trains or buses without receiving explanations.

As an example, he pointed out that the first service of the morning left Ciudad Real after 5:00 a.m. and arrived at Atocha around 8:00 a.m., approximately meeting the scheduled times. However, the second, which departed after 7:00 a.m., was carried out by bus.

"By what criterion? We don't understand it," said Pablo López, who pointed out that apparently the decision could depend on a personal criterion of the train driver, although he admitted that they do not know the reasons.

Complaints about the lack of certainty for work commutes

According to the platform, this situation is causing significant disruptions to travelers, especially those who need to travel for work reasons, since "people have no certainty of arriving at their destination on time."

Added to this is the uncertainty about next week's services, since the platform still does not know how connections will be organized while high-speed circulation remains interrupted.

"For now, we also don't know the situation for next week. People don't know what to expect in advance," concluded Pablo López.
