The Provincial Court of Madrid has ordered to expand the investigation into businessman Alberto González Amador, partner of Isabel Díaz Ayuso, so that the Central Operative Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard can also consult his tax data and those of the General Treasury of the Social Security. Until now, the court in charge of the case had only authorized investigators to review banking information and had left the analysis of the rest of the data for later.

The decision comes after the Madrid Prosecutor's Office appealed that measure. The magistrates have accepted their request and consider that studying all this information at the same time can help clarify the facts and expedite the investigation. The case seeks to determine whether possible crimes of corruption in business and disloyal administration related to business operations linked to González Amador and several companies were committed.

The Prosecutor's Office manages to have all data investigated at the same time

The Provincial Court has revoked the decision of Instruction Court number 19 of Madrid, which had authorized the UCO to consult the bank movements of the people and companies related to the case from January 1, 2014, to the present.

The judge had decided to wait for the first results of that analysis before allowing access to tax and Social Security information. However, the Prosecutor's Office argued that it was necessary to study all these sources of information to reconstruct the money movements and better understand the economic situation of those under investigation.

Now, the magistrates consider that the joint analysis of banking, tax, and labor data will allow progress in the investigations more quickly. The decision does not imply a conviction or confirm that crimes have been committed, but rather expands the information that investigators will be able to examine.

The purchase of a company for nearly 500,000 euros, under investigation

One of the points being studied in the investigation is the purchase, in December 2020, of the company Círculo de Belleza S.L. by a company linked to González Amador. The operation had a value close to 500,000 euros and is being investigated for the possibility that it could have served to pay an alleged commission to an executive related to Quirón Prevención, a company with commercial ties to the businessman.

The case also analyzes the increase in income of Maxwell Cremona, a company linked to González Amador, as well as other commercial operations related to the sale of sanitary material during the pandemic and with contracts with Quirón Prevención.

To clarify these operations, investigators seek to verify how the money moved, where the income came from, and what was the evolution of the assets of the people and companies involved. Access to tax and Social Security data will allow completing the banking information that had already been authorized by the court.

González Amador defended the legality of his income

In April 2025, González Amador testified before then-judge Inmaculada Iglesias and provided documentation on the income he had obtained from Quirón Prevención. During his statement, he denied having hidden that money through a shell company to avoid paying taxes.

The businessman defended that his income was legal and explained that the purchase of Círculo de Belleza, for about half a million euros, responded to the value of its distribution network, which included pharmacies.

Furthermore, he assured that the Treasury inspection had "never" requested the distribution contracts of this company. His statements are part of the background of an ongoing investigation in which the UCO will now be able to examine more information to clarify the business operations under investigation.
