Koldo's lawyer requests Aldama's statement to clarify the alleged bribery attempt of Carmen Pano within the framework of the 'Leire case'

Leticia de la Hoz has decided to bet on the testimony of Víctor de Aldama to try to dismantle the accusation against her in the 'Leire case'. The lawyer, who defended Koldo García during the trial of the masks case, has formally requested that the commissioner testify as a witness, with the aim of contrasting the version of the businesswoman Carmen Pano, who accuses her of having tried to bribe her to retract her story, in which she claims to have carried 90,000 euros in cash to the PSOE headquarters on Ferraz street.

The request comes after De la Hoz appeared a week ago as an investigated party before the Audiencia Nacional. During her statement, she denied having offered any amount to the businesswoman, rejected maintaining any relationship with the PSOE, and maintained that the accusations made by Pano do not correspond to reality.

Now, her defense considers that Aldama's testimony may be decisive. In the letter sent to the magistrate, she recalls that "Pano herself points to him as the origin of the money" and understands that his statement will clarify whether that story holds up or not. The legal representation also recalls that Aldama already showed doubts about that version during his appearance before the Supreme Court. Although he confirmed that Pano went to his office on several occasions to collect money, he claimed to not know what the subsequent destination of those funds was and even stated that "it is not very clear to whom he has delivered the money and if he has delivered it".

Along with that proceeding, the lawyer has also requested the appearance of three other witnesses. Her objective is to "prove that the offer of money to Carmen Pano did not exist" and to maintain that the meetings held with her were related to a business operation linked to the hydrocarbon sector, for which the businesswoman "sought a substantial commission".
