Feijóo does not cease his pressure against Sánchez's Government and assumes that the reports he is going to declassify about the Ceuta crisis are "cut."

The Government of Pedro Sánchez will declassify this Tuesday all the reports related to the massive entry of more than 70,000 migrant people into Ceuta. In this regard, the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, in a televised intervention, has assumed that they are "cut."

The documents will be available this Wednesday. However, the 'popular' leader expects "nothing" from them because he considers: "Those reports are cut." 

On the other hand, in response to criticism from the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, who has doubted the impartiality of magistrate María Tardón, who has just opened a case to investigate the migratory crisis, Feijóo has stated that he trusts the judge of the Audiencia Nacional very much. 

Along the same lines, he has intensified his criticism of the Sánchez Government, reiterating the appearance of the director of the CNI, Esperanza Casteleiro, before the Official Secrets Commission of the Congress of Deputies. 

The Ceuta reports

The Government faces a key day this Tuesday to clarify what information the authorities handled before the massive entry of people from Morocco into Ceuta. The Council of Ministers will approve the declassification of the CNI reports on the events of July 30 and 31, although the documents will not be public until Wednesday, when the corresponding order is published in the BOE.

The decision will allow consulting the content of the reports and verifying what warnings the security agencies received before a crisis that caused the arrival of tens of thousands of people in just a few hours. Pedro Sánchez already announced this Monday that the Executive would make the documents public and placed Ceuta as the "main priority" of the Government. "We are going to clarify what happened that week in July and, when we do, we will share it with the public with transparency," he affirmed.

One of the main points of interest will be to determine if the intelligence services had previously detected signs that would allow anticipating the magnitude of the arrival. Sánchez defended last week in Congress that no report had foreseen either the scale or the probability of a crisis of those dimensions, although he acknowledged that during July an increase in attempts to enter by swimming had been observed.

The Executive maintains that previous communications contained usual warnings about migratory movements and that they did not allow for foreseeing a massive arrival of that magnitude. The publication of the documents will allow contrasting this version with the information collected in the reports and comes after criticism from PP and Vox, who have accused the Government of hiding data about the warnings received before the crisis.

Óscar Puente lashes out at magistrate María Tardón

The Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, has given an interview on the 'Cadena SER' program Hora 25 where he commented on the latest information about the Ceuta crisis after the massive entry of more than 70,000 people into Spanish territory between July 30 and 31.

In this regard, asked by journalist José Luis Sastre about the opening of a case by magistrate María Tardón, to investigate the migratory crisis, Puente has questioned her "impartiality". Likewise, he has maintained the Executive's position, stating that there is no evidence that the Government of Morocco organized or participated in the entry. 

"To date, she has shown signs that her impartiality can be doubted," said the minister, alluding to the judge's past as a PP councilor in the Madrid City Council. 

Puente has insisted on his criticism of the magistrate and has defended that his doubts do not only respond to her political career, but to a series of "facts" that, in his opinion, must be taken into account. In this sense, he recalled that Tardón, although currently serving as a judge, "comes from the political world".

The magistrate had declared this Monday the competence of the Audiencia Nacional to investigate the case and had sent a rogatory letter to the courts of Ceuta. In her resolution, Tardón maintained that "the behaviors subject to the procedure have attacked the form of Government" and that the facts could constitute "an attack, a violation of the territorial integrity of Spain".

The head of Transport has also questioned that the opening of the investigation has occurred with the elements available so far. "I do not have the evidence that the judge has. If all she has is the police report, I don't know if it's a very wise decision," he said.
