The president of the Government of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, assured this Friday that he does not believe that the president of the central Executive, Pedro Sánchez, will call early elections, but that, in his opinion, he will try to remain in office for as long as possible.
"I don't think he will give up now. In my opinion, he will hold on to the armchair for as long as he can," López Miras told reporters, before attending the Regional Entrepreneur's Day event organized by CROEM in Murcia.
"The Government is dying" and "is adrift"
During his speech, the head of the Murcian Executive maintained that the central Government "is dying" and "has been adrift for too long now," words with which he criticized the political situation of the cabinet presided over by Pedro Sánchez.
According to Fernando López Miras, the housing problem is "staging" this wear and tear of the Government, although he added that there are other issues that, in his opinion, reflect the weakness of the Executive with the same clarity.
Among them he cited the absence of General State Budgets, which he described as "a failure as resounding or more so than the overturning of two housing decrees."
Reproaches for the lack of General State Budgets
López Miras insisted that the situation of the central Government is critical from its own formation. "The Government has been mortally wounded since it was formed. The day it calls elections, of that I am sure, Spaniards will put it in its place," he concluded.
