Due to the migratory crisis that Ceuta is experiencing, the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes considers it very necessary to unblock the budgetary allocation destined to reinforce the Court of First Instance of Ceuta. For this reason, said Ministry has sent an urgent letter to the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) to expedite the administrative procedures necessary for the unblocking of the budgetary allocation.

In a letter reported by elDiario.es, the Secretary of State for Justice, Manuel Olmedo, assures that the Ministry "has everything ready" to approve the authorization of the budgetary credit as soon as the CGPJ sends the request from the High Court of Justice of Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla (TSJA). This court, which depends on the CGPJ, warned that what happened in Ceuta has "extraordinarily" affected the development of the public service of Justice.

In said urgent letter, the Secretary of State confirms that the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, headed by Félix Bolaños, "suggested three weeks ago" reinforcing the courts of the autonomous city. Sources from the Ministry of Justice and according to the letter, as of today, Monday, the CGPJ has not yet sent the request from the TSJA and the aforementioned Inspection report. This is not the first request in Ceuta, since last Tuesday the Permanent Commission of the CGPJ requested reinforcements for the Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of First Instance of Ceuta to serve as support due to the saturation in the massive entry of migrants to Ceuta.

In addition to this, the Secretary of State considers that "it would be convenient" for the reinforcements approved by the CGPJ to be carried out with magistrates from other courts or audiences or within the court of first instance of Ceuta, from sections other than the civil and instruction section, and failing that, with substitutes. In the same way, the Ministry also says that "in the coming days" three processors, a procedural manager and an auxiliary will be incorporated into the courts of Ceuta, in addition to authorizing the extension of guards for the processing of judicial procedures. And not only that, three substitute fiscal lawyers have also been assigned as reinforcement, eleven forensic doctors, seven autopsy technicians and two processing officials from the Institute of Legal Medicine.
