The declaration of the national interest emergency in the Community of Madrid and the province of Ávila due to the seriousness of the forest fires has been accompanied this Friday by a message from the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, in which he has conveyed his support to those affected and has assured that the Executive will keep all necessary resources deployed to face the crisis. The head of the Executive also presides over a meeting of the State Coordination and Management Committee of the State Emergency Plan (CECOD) to analyze the evolution of the fires.
Through his account on X, Sánchez has warned that "we are experiencing a dramatic situation, not only in different Spanish provinces but also in regions of neighboring countries", and has lamented that the fires are "devastating thousands of hectares and affecting various populations". The president has conveyed all his "solidarity with all the people who are seeing how fire burns their mountains and threatens their homes" and has stressed that "the Government has deployed all personnel. It will be by their side in the emergency and in the recovery".

Likewise, the president has thanked the work of the Forest Fire Reinforcement Brigades (BRIF), the Military Emergency Unit (UME), the Security Forces and Corps, the National Civil Protection System, and the rest of the emergency services, highlighting their work to contain the advance of the flames. He has also called on citizens to exercise extreme caution: "Much caution. Let's follow the instructions and avoid risks".
For his part, the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has also shown his support through X. "Much encouragement to all the people affected by the fires and to the emergency services that are attending to them," he wrote, after assuring that he had spoken with the president of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who informed him that the simultaneity of the fires in several communities poses "a great risk for many residents and their property". Feijóo stated that "the situation is very complicated and requires a response from the administrations commensurate with such an exceptional moment", while asking to follow official channels and act with maximum caution.
