The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has applauded the victory achieved by the Democrats in the midterm elections held in the United States, and has interpreted that result as a preview of what, in his opinion, will happen in the general elections on November 29.
“It happened in Brazil, it just happened in the US and will soon happen in Spain,” he said this Wednesday in a message published on his X account.

Criticism of right-wing and far-right policies
Sánchez stated that American society voted yesterday “against policies that only impoverish,” against “hatred,” “climate denialism,” and the “privileges of the elites,” after the Democratic Party achieved a broad victory that gives it control of the House of Representatives.
In his political assessment, the President of the Government maintained that the latest international results favor the left and declared the right's momentum exhausted. “The ultra wave that Feijóo and Abascal intend to ride is no longer growing: it is crumbling,” he stated.
