The president of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, assured this Wednesday that he sees a central Government "adrift," considering that "it does not solve problems," and cited as an example the issue of housing, about which he stated that "it seems we are all guilty and they have been governing for eight years, like the Ceuta crisis."
The head of the Consell made these statements in Chiva (Valencia), where he visited the actions of riverbed renaturalization and cane removal, in response to questions from the media about his opinion on the central administration "changing the water regulations."
Water, the focus of criticism against the Executive
"Look, to talk about the Spanish Government's water issue, I would be here all day telling you about how they have managed the issue of transfers, as they know that here we need water in parts of the Comunitat, and they invent rules without any scientific rigor so that we don't have water, especially in the south of the province of Alicante; or how they always try to adopt or approve measures that they announce and then the autonomous administrations pay for," Juanfran Pérez Llorca pointed out.
In any case, and "without intending to create tension," because it is not his "style or way of being," he added that in recent months he has seen a Spanish Government that "is a bit adrift" and that "does not solve problems."
Housing and Ceuta, among the examples cited
The president of the Generalitat insisted that, in his opinion, the Executive is more focused on "resisting than on governing," and also cited the housing problem and the Ceuta crisis as examples of management that, he said, does not respond to the needs raised.
"I believe we are already witnessing the end of a government that is more focused on resisting than on governing," Juanfran Pérez Llorca concluded.
