The Organization Secretary and spokesperson for Podemos, Pablo Fernández, confirmed this Monday that the purple formation will not close more agreements with other left-wing parties for the candidacies to the Congress, and specified that the party will run in all constituencies with its own ballot, except in the Valencian Community and Canary Islands, where it will run in coalition with the Frente Amplio and other formations.
In the case of Balearic Islands, Fernández explained in a press conference that the agreement reached this Sunday will allow the coordinator of Podemos in the archipelago, Lucía Muñoz, to occupy the number three position on the list of Ara Més-Front Ampli as an independent, a pact that, he said, has been closed "reinforcing the cooperation" they maintain with ERC and that it will be the last one the organization completes before the deadline for submitting candidacies expires tonight.
No own candidacy for the Senate in three territories
The Podemos leader added that the formation will also not present its own candidacy for the Senate in those three territories, within the framework of an electoral strategy that, he defended, seeks to organize territorial alliances for the elections.
Criticism of "police violence" and call for mobilization
During his appearance, Pablo Fernández again criticized "police violence" in several demonstrations held in cities such as A Coruña, Avilés, Madrid, Zaragoza or Valencia, and reproached the Government for, in his opinion, "allowing" these actions.
In addition, he called for the mobilization of the party's militants for the general strike on November 11, which he defined as a "strategic and fundamental milestone in this electoral campaign".
