Sánchez and Feijóo face their first face-to-face in the Congress session with the focus on the migratory crisis in Ceuta

The Congress of Deputies resumes its plenary activity this Wednesday after the holiday period, in which the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will have to face criticism from the opposition for the Executive's management of the migratory crisis in Ceuta. 

The leader of the main opposition party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will be the first to pose a question to Sánchez. In this regard, the president of the PP will ask him how he plans to continue governing for the remainder of the legislature. 

Along the same lines, ERC spokesperson Gabriel Rufián will speak, asking him how he “faces what remains” of the legislature. 

For his part, the leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, will focus his first intervention in the Lower House on Morocco, questioning whether Sánchez is being blackmailed by Morocco over “the information they have about his corruption and that of his family.”

After the plenary session, Pedro Sánchez will go to the set of TVE's ‘Mañaneros 360’ to give his second interview since the beginning of the migratory crisis. 

The head of the Executive will be interviewed starting at 11:00 a.m., in a conversation that can be followed live on La 1 and RTVE Play from the Prado del Rey studios.

The interview will be conducted by Jesús Cintora and Esther Palomera. Cintora will participate from the set of the morning show he presents with Adela González, while Palomera will join the meeting from 'Malas lenguas', the current affairs and political analysis program she presents on La 2.

Sánchez's appearance on television comes after the president resumed his radio agenda on August 31 with an interview with Aimar Bretos on 'Hoy por Hoy'. In that intervention, the head of the Executive reviewed issues such as the migratory crisis in Ceuta, relations with Morocco, the electoral scenario, and the main political challenges of the summer. Now, his appearance on 'Mañaneros 360' will be his first television interview after his intervention in Congress last Thursday.

According to RTVE, Cintora and Palomera will discuss with Sánchez the main issues of current political and national affairs. These will presumably include again the situation in Ceuta and its political ramifications, as well as the upcoming electoral calendar, the Executive's economic measures, and the Government's relationship with both its parliamentary allies and opposition parties.
