The magistrate investigating the case of the dana management of October 29, 2024, has described as “incomprehensible” the defense strategy of Salomé Pradas, the former Minister of Emergencies, and her version of events during the emergency management.
The judge's assessment is included in an order issued this Wednesday, in which she also rejects carrying out the investigations requested by one of the private prosecutions, focused on clarifying how the surveillance of the ravines' water flow was carried out by the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation (CHJ).
"Adhering to the party's request, to a single means, provides a partial view of the situation, focusing on a single point and showing indifference to a comprehensive duty of oversight by civil protection authorities, the only ones who are under investigation in the present proceedings given their guarantor position," the resolution detailsThe judge points out that, during Pradas' visit to the **Emergency Center at noon** on the same day, he took notes on the state of the Poyo ravine and on the actions of the forest firefighters, which **calls into question his version** of not having received any information
The ruling also emphasizes that managing an emergency of this type requires continuous control of resources, requesting reports with sufficient periodicity, and follow-up rounds, aspects that, according to the magistrate, were not carried out adequately.
